MEET THE TEAM

PLAYER PROFILES

#1 Oliver MacRitchie

Goalkeeper

Making his debut for 6-a-side club is a big step up for someone who plays tennis for a career, but with success at previous tournaments - including 3 title wins and the most clean sheets in 2 out of 3 tournaments - MacRitchie is not one to mess with when taking an attempt on goal. Hopefully he can add one more title to the list. With a never give up attitude he will always give 100% and can be relied on as the man in front of the net. Shoot at your own will.

#2 Connor Ward

Defender

Mr Reliable; the quietest figure in camp staked his claim to be in the team after an empowering performance at the trial over Christmas 2014. His pace, power and strength - the traits of the best defenders in the world - give AFC an extra dimension at the back, with Ward often playing the sweeper role. Strong in a tackle and always quick to pass, his unsefishness is sometimes his Achilles' heel however his attacking ability has come a long way since the 2010-11 St Andrews season.

#6 Gregor McIntyre

Defender

Called by some as the best 6-a-side player ever to grace the Woking pitches, his rosy cheeks at the end of every game are just a side effect of his fight and never-say-die attitude. Shooting, crossing, tackling, passing, skill, pace, power, heading and he's quite handy in goal too, what doesn't McIntyre have in his locker?! Maybe a left foot. As St Andrews' 6-a-side captain in the famous Mr Lewis era, the Woking Premiership is the only thing he hasn't won - soon to change this year.

#7 Jack Grey

Forward/Goalkeeper

Not the strongest guy on the pitch but puts in a shift upfront and given the chance he'll find the net when called upon. Play primarily as a forward but is able to play in midfield and in goal and hopes to contribute with more goals and assists as the seasons go on. As well as playing for Olympia he also plays for Abbey Rangers on Sunday's and is fully committed to working hard and doing his best for both sides.

#8 James Chessun

Defender

Once described by many as having only a left foot, Chessun co-founded the club and as payback AFC has enabled him to nurture his right foot and he received the ultimate prize by scoring with it twice in his first game. We can rely on our number 8 for all the passion and resilience needed to succeed in the Premiership, he also brings a very physical side to our defending.

#10 James Frudd

Forward

He is the most prolific goal scorer in the league hitting the net over 4 times a game, but its not just the quantity but quality of the goals he scores; often prancing past the whole opposition and tapping the ball in. As our co-founder we can rely on him to put his blood, sweat and tears on the line for the club, and because of that dedication as a club we truly have to thank him.

#13 Eddie Way (c)

Defender/Forward

Natural leader; along with being AFC skipper, he juggles playing high level hockey leaving him unavailable for some games but gives him the fitness to wear down opposition. Not the most technically gifted player but has a high work rate, passion and a reliability to always give the simple pass. Opened his account for the club in the first game of this season against CPR, hopefully more to come.
